We are in a constant battle between good and evil. We have the choice every day to decide which ‘team we are on’. The enemy’s job is to keep us bound by constantly reminding us of how others have mistreated us. He wants us to refuse to forgive and this act further tightens the chains of bondage. Unforgiveness hurts us much more than we can ever imagine. It gives the enemy constant access to our emotions and ultimately our lives. That is just WAY too much power.
Jesus came to set us free…He came to break every chain of bondage. Let’s wake up and utilize every tool that the cross and His death gave us! We must choose to stay free. Forgiveness is next to love…..forgiveness releases others and it closes the door to any access the enemy has. Sometimes you have to forgive over and over and over. That’s just fine…each time you offer up forgiveness, your freedom is one step closer.
